All of our students will be 1:1 on Chromebooks in 2022-2023. This is a drastic change for our students from the iPad tablet format to a laptop. This will require students to work a track pad for a mouse as well as use the touch sensitive screen of the Chromebook (just like the iPad). We will be spending a lot of time working on basic operational skills of the new device as well as keyboarding skills.
Chromebooks do come with "apps" but definitely functions differently than the iPad. Students will still have access to Capstone Library, Epic, Pebble Go, WorldBook Online, Code.org, and other things that we used when working with the iPad.
Chromebooks will not be coming home this year unless there is an assignment given by the classroom teacher.
